Buckingham Parish Church

Giving

Here’s how you can give to support our church.

Standing Order

We are keen to encourage regular giving through Standing Orders, so thank you if you are already supporting us.

Setting up a routine Standing Order means we can receive your donation with no additional costs to the church. You can create the Standing Order direct with your bank; if you can’t do this, contact us at stewardship@bpchurch.uk and we’ll help.

Here are our bank details:
CAF Bank, Sort Code 40-52-40
Account Name: St Peter & St Paul PCC Buckingham
Account Number:  00013004

PLEASE NOTE due to new bank security protocols, if you have shortened the account name and receive an error message, you can still proceed, provided all other details are correct.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your donation, enabling our church to reclaim a further 25% on your contribution. Download and complete our Gift Aid Declaration here. You can email it to stewardship@bpchurch.uk or send it to us.

One Off Donations

If you would like to make a one off donation or set up a monthly direct debit, it’s really easy to do with your debit or credit card; you can Gift Aid it too. Bear in mind we are charged a small processing fee to receive this donation: https://bpchurch.churchsuite.co.uk/donate/

Many smart phones have QR code capability so you can make a one off payment this way too.

How Much Should I Give?

Many Christians commit 10% of their income to their local church, here’s why it's good to give.  We encourage all members and friends of Buckingham Parish Church to prayerfully decide what percentage of their income they will give and then make a pledge to give that amount. This helps us to more confidently plan our activities within the church and community.

We understand that giving is not just about money so have a look at the church life tab to see how you might want to get involved.

If you have any queries, please either e-mail Tracy here or call our Church Office on 01280 830220.

Where Our Money Comes From

We really appreciate the generosity of those who support the work of our church as this is where most of our income comes from.

Below is an overview of our income sources for the full year 2023

2023 Income Pie Chart

How We Use These Resources

Our income supports a wide range of activities across our church. This includes our pastoral activities, children’s, youth and family work. We have committed preachers, teachers, worship leaders, musicians administrators and hospitality team.

We have to maintain our grade 1 listed building and support churches in smaller communities through our Parish Contribution.

We have dedicated full time and part time employees, supported by a great team of unpaid volunteers all striving to support our local community, both practically and emotionally.

We also aim to give 10% of our annual income to support the work of other charities locally and overseas.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at BP Church for our Sunday Services starting at 9am, 11am or 6pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits before the services begin. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

What about my kids?

Click here for our kids programme.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Connect Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Connect Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
